We all love FREEware and giveaways and bargains and coupons and gifts...
We are fishing for them in every corner of the WWW and share our finds with our friends in the forums .

One of the rules for the GOTD forums and comments site is, not to publish registration keys. Of course not for Giveaways either for other commercial programs / games.
The administrator/moderator deletes every post and disables links to sites breaking this rule.
The regulars of this site know and accept this rule, new users will learn it.

This is nothing new and not worth a new topic?

I think it is; as we should think over our attitude. We are going to become very opportunistic.
In plain language: is it compatible with the rules for the GOTD forums
A) to post registration tricks like they are published in respective blogs or
B) to take part in offers which were provided only to readers of a magazine in a certain region?
As far as I have seen it, are a lot of these special bargains not intended for everyone, but only for a limited group of users (e.g. readers of a magazine). That means, that magazine has arranged a deal with the developer of a software (e.g. acronis) for it's readers. Isn't this a comparable procedure as the GOTD project?

If you haven't done before, please read:
About and For Developers
For me, dealing with these registration formalities is a clear violation of the rules of the GOTD forums; therefore I have deleted corresponding posts.

graylox (who is very tired and hopes this makes sense :)
