So (copmom)..., you did what I sometimes do when I stay up the entire playing games; stayed up all the next day, too? My mind/body doesn't like it when I do that, but sometimes I just do it anyway. I find things to do to keep busy, and keep from feeling fatigued, but one thing I don't/won't do is drive. I feel my mind is impaired from no sleep, and don't want to risk my, or anyone else's, life. Then again, I'm not going anywhere in the first place, hence no worry about staying up all night. If I had to go to work, or some other place, I wouldn't do that.

BTW, what kind/type of game is the Mae O'West one?

Well one problem with these games.. makes me stay up too late. Was working on "Mae O'West and the Sign of the Stars" (another good one), and then looked at the clock.. 2:30 already! Now it's 9 am, do I go back to one of those games or jump in the shower, get dressed, drink some coffee, and get some real work done?? LOL

I wish I could afford to buy all the games I've downloaded from mostfun, and from GameHouse, as well as from GOTD. The first 2 mainly so I wouldn't have to worry about the ads, albethey very brief, while the latter one...well, if you lose it...

Yep, Midori, if it weren't for the freebies we've all heard about, thanks to Wrabbit, and others, look at all the gaming fun we'd have been missing out on (and all the sewing, and other things I would have gotten done, instead...lol). :D

Sue (who would be in bed, but couldn't get to sleep)- tipping her hat to WR and others for the freebies...(BG)

I agree with you RosnSC. You've basically summed up what it's all about, and it is getting boring. I don't care for their 4 minute times either, which I usually don't make and have to play that scene over again. I prefer the ones that give you the option to play leisurely without all those timers.

Okay, I think I've officially given up Detective Stories - Hollywood. I played it a couple of days ago, and found the storyline to be as boring as before - everyone just saw the mystery person leave, or else no one has seen her...either way, she isn't to be found. Meanwhile, our detective keeps on helping these people clean up, find, repair, etc. all kinds of things that would exasperate, and exhaust most people (although our detective doesn't appear in the least to be frazzled, or whatnot). That's not the worst of it, though. The objects are hard enough to find, the list grows as you find things, and you have at most 4 minutes to find everything. If you click onto too many wrong objects, you are penalized seconds - 20 or 30 of them. That makes your time go by even faster, and if you don't find them all, you have to start all over again. I say, no thanks. :]

lol.....you guys are a hoot.

Normally I'd agree but it's just that every time I finished a screen (found everything) which only took like 2-3 minutes, up popped another ad. I'd read the next dialog.....or should I say "skim" the next dialog.....another 1 minute......up popped an ad. It's ridiculous.

I think I'm getting tired of search n finds.....too much of the same old, same old. And what do we get today??????? Another search n find......UGH! Oh well.....for free.....I'll look at it.

I've really been enjoying the Nancy Drew series and wish I could find more games on the order of those, also LOVE Totem Tribe.....haven't quite finished that one yet.

Sue, I don't know if they called it that(it was a while since I played that game) but I do remember clicking on covered areas, and a "brushing sound" was produced(and the graphics showed dust being formed..lol)...very silly...
YES hated how you'd think that the list was finished, only to have them add more ...
I am still not finished Escape the Museum!
Yes second time around should be good!
I have about 4 unfinished games that I dab at..
I am currently working on Can You see...
I had to start again as I used up all my hints(LOL)

I agree with you guys about this game.....boring.....stupid dialog.....extremely repetitive.....etc. In fact I think this is the worst search n find game I've ever played. I don't think I'll even bother playing it out cause I figure it will be a ridiculous disappointing ending.

Just wondering, did any of you notice that the ads pop up like every 2 minutes? I hope it's just this game and not the way the Gamehouse games will be from now on. I can live with it happening every half hour or so but not every 2 minutes.

Merri, I didn't know there is a brush tool. I played the game for a bit this evening, but gave up on it. The dialect was, as usual, pointless (forgot to mention that before), though not 'glitched up'. Finding the objects was as difficult as with Escape the Museum, but with only maybe 3 minutes to find everything. Also, you only get a partial list of objects to find, to start with, and get new things as you find them. I am fixing to restart Escape the Museum, and for this game, that means making myself a new user name. Still, since I've already played it through, once, it should be easier to do a, second time around.

Sue, there was THAT annoyance too(VERY frustrating sometimes!) but actually I meant that sometimes objects would be literally, "hidden", and the only option was to use a brush tool (as if it were an archaeology game) to reveal them.
Sometimes the sweeping had to be done over and over in the same areas...(ugh)
YES the dialogue was a bit too contrived and coy to make me want to stick with it..lol.
I didn't finish it and almost wish that I had but I don't think I will get it again..

The "sweeping" you mentioned, Merri - are you referring to all the work the different characters are asking her to do for/with them, in order for them to be able to help her? If so, I found that to be kind of annoying also - actually, ridiculous, in fact. Sometimes after she had done what they asked her to do, they still don't/can't help her.

Another thing I am finding annoying is the dialect. I normally find that to be an 'important' part of that type of game, but I am considering skipping it for the rest of this game. Sometimes I miss part of the dialogue because either a glitch in the game, or in my mouse/the game. I guess with this game it really isn't important, though, because the work issue is kind of overshadowing the effect of the dialect.

Sue - who like Midori will finish it just to see how it all plays out...:D

I played this game about 6 months ago(it was offered through gamehouse before)
It is an ok game..I found it wasn't quite as exciting as it sounded though.
There is a LOT of "sweeping" one has to do to find objects. I found it a bit annoying after a while.
