Hi Stephen, I've already been thru all your game listings in the forums. I'm pretty sure I haven't missed any. You should see my desktop!!!! I have 2 little ones & so I download ones that either I like (like Eternal Daugher) or that they will like. You have some killer games listed.

Oh, a note for future pinball vs. visual pinball: future pinball tables kept crashing on me but visual works just fine. I found a site: http://tiipin.tripod.com/ that has table downloads available; 50 for future pinball & 103 for visual pinball. I downloaded the 103 tables & am still going thru them for suitability & how well they play for the kids & myself. Didn't have any problems downloading and he's got some really good tables. Apparently they are all original Tii tables.

Just thought I'd pass the info along. You can repost if you want where you have the pinball games listed (I don't remember where it was).

Thanks as always for all you do. You are awesome.

Sadie

Hi Sadie, sorry you're having problems with theses games. Unfortunately not all games will play on everyones system. Check out the alphabetic synopsis. It's more or less up to date apart from the last week or so's games (I've been slowly adding the games I posted, but G@rgoyle hasn't added the last few weeks. There's a wealth of fantastic free games there.

http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/forums/topic/4534

I hope you find something. If not check out freegamespick for a decent commercial but free word game:

Hey rO & Whiterabbit, I am just not having a good game day at all with the games. Keywords (saturdays game 1/24) kept crashing until I figured out why. Then I downloaded both of these and Catastrophe would open but then I couldn't get thru the 2nd level (he would claw up the wall but woudn't turn the corner to go up further). Upon closing it I saw a debug text note that was not there when I first opened up the folder. Couldn't get around it. Then with Geuka, it gets an error before it even gets to open and a debug note also appeared in the folder afterwards.

Oh well, thanks anyway.
Sadie

For Friday, I have decided to post two puzzle games involving lizards. They were created by students from Cornell University.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Chameleon Catastrophe:

As Spry the Chameleon, you must save your home from the unnatural destruction of a nuclear power plant gone bad in a side-scrolling 2D action puzzle game. Change to four different colors, each with a special ability, that will help you progress through the game. Destroy your enemies and solve mind-bending puzzles to reach the core.

This game has an interesting concept and makes good use of powers in order to solve puzzles. It's a recommended download.

Download (10.9 MB):
http://gdiac.cis.cornell.edu/Projects/2006sp/Chameleon/download.html

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Geuka:

Geuka is a top-down puzzle/adventure game following the adventures of Charlie the Chameleon. The objective of the game is to move Charlie through each level in pursuit of the elusive butterfly and to avoid the predators that block your path. Charlie is able to influence the behavior of other creatures through his color-changing ability and by taking advantage of changes in behavior between day and night. Geuka combines elements of classic adventure games with real-time puzzle-solving and path-finding challenges in a bright and colorful game world.

This game has some interesting gameplay elements with colour changing to avoid enemies. Just a warning, some of the later levels are ridiculously difficult. It's a good thing that there is a level select feature that you can use if you get stuck.

Download (28.2 MB):
http://gdiac.cis.cornell.edu/showgame.php?id=Geuka
