Hi John.

To answer your question. If you still had the readme file with the key listed - you might be able to re-enter the key into Typing Assistant to make the software registered again. (Hint: keep a record of the serials for your own use - just in case).

But as you don't have the readme anymore, you are, well... cooked.

(We can't give out software codes etc in the forums)

It may come around again at some point in the future, or you can register the software, or just use it till the end of the trial and then find an alternative.

Thanks for all of your responses. I really appreciate it.

I don't have the read me file anymore. Even if I did, the code may not work due to the fact that December 20th was the day the software was offered and required to be registered by midnight.

I'm a novice to forums. My first post to any forum was the one regarding Typing Assistant 4.2. I guess I feel a little dense.

Was the answer to my question in Lee's post? If it was I didn't get it.

You need the user name also.

I have run into a problem, myself, with Typing Assistant. It was registered during the giveaway period and working just fine. I accidentally clicked onto it last night and got the same 'trial' message 61v3a0d did, except not in Safe Mode.

Hi,

This is the first time I have used a Forum, so I hope I am posting this in the correct area.

I downloaded and installed Typing Assistant 4.2 on December 20th. I had no problem with registration.

My computer had an unrelated problem and I had to start it in Safe Mode. I made the mistake of using Typing Assistant 4.2 in Safe Mode. When I fixed the unrelated computer problem, and started the computer in the Normal Mode, Typing Assistant 4.2 was no longer registered. It displayed the screen that said I had 20 days to try it. It bums me out, because I was using Typing Assistant 3.1 and really liked it.

Does anybody out there have any insight as to why using Typing Assistant 4.2 in Safe Mode would negate the registration, and more importantly is there anything I can do to fix the problem?
