I accidentally posted the same video twice for Urban Brawl.. Here's what should have been posted. All three are similar, but you may find where different hidden objects are if you watch all three:

p.s.

I'm off for the rest of today (promised myself I'd stay off the computer for the rest of today). So see you all tomorrow. Friday's games will be, as promised, a couple of Pinball games. :)

Facewound: 27.5Mb

Facewound is an abandoned 2D action game with zombies, guns, ragdoll physics and the occasional exploding barrels that'll blow everything in its proximity into pieces. The W, A, S and D keys can be used to move the protagonist around the city or climb buildings. Aim with the mouse, and left click to shoot. Press the R key to reload, and use the B key to unlock new weapons. Right click to enter focus mode, helpful when taking down airborne enemies.

A control configuration menu is included, and at least one checkpoint can be found in each level. The config.cfg file contains a number of keys which can be used to explore hidden features. Animations are done by none other than Arthur Lee, creator of The Underside. Development work on the game has been halted for several years. Unfortunately the game wasn’t finished, but it’s still worth the download in my opinion.

Quote

Facewound is a 2D side scroller which uses 3D acceleration to bring 2D games up to date' If you have a pixel shader 2'0 capable card you're in for a treat with effects such as water reflection and refraction, explosion shock waves, refracting rain and heat refraction' The engine also features an impressive to watch particle physics engine which makes things like sparks, water impacts and bullet shells really fun to watch' Our original aim with Facewound was to make a 2D game with all of the effects of something like Counter-Strike: Source and more' And I think we've achieved that' We're keeping the game play as simple as we can' It's a run and gun' If it moves, shoot it' You're likely to be attacked by zombies, space brains, ghosts, skeletons, rocks, fish and more' On your way through the levels you collect plutonium, which you can use to buy new weapons (of which there are lots)'

http://www.hypn.za.net/blog/2008/04/06/facewound-hacks/

========================================================================

Here’s another zombie like game, (well, that may be stretching the description a little, lol), called:

Action Doom 2: Urban Brawl:

Despite it saying that this is a full version game there is a possibility that it’s just a full version demo. What I mean by that is an unlimited time demo that is restricted to the number of levels you can play. It doesn’t specify this, but going over to the developer’s home page it’s still being sold for $9.99. However, even if this is so, after playing it for several minutes I thought it would complement the main game for today Facewound. That said, on reading the review (see link below), the reviewer said:

could see no difference with the free download, and the 'Buy It' version. The only advantage of the 'Buy It' link, is to get a hard copy of the game on cd, and a collectable case and boxart.

Which is great news. if you're interested in this game :)

N.B. There is some foul language written on the main intro/menu page of this game, so if you have children please do take care.

========================================================================

For those who like Action Doom 2: Urban Brawl, I will be posting the original Action Doom, though as you need a specific file (doom.wad) from the original Doom or Doom 2 (both of which are available free), I thought I'd save it for another day because I thing the two games are ample for today, especially after posting details of ten games yesterday.

I've got Doom 2 and it's modification ZDoom working - ZDoom is a mod that improves the graphics of the original Doom, plus adds some extras previously unseen in the game; however at the moment I don't seem to be able to figure out how to get the action doom mod to work, otherwise I'd have probably posted links and installation details for the Action Doom mod and both the Doom games with today's games.

Regards
