Vista works fine if you are vista sp1 and have up-to-date hardware.

At least 2gb of main memory also helps.

Vista, I did say I may not use, however, I luv XP Pro, but, it is now archived.

Catnip, as I said, I got the 'downgrade' through Dell from Vista to XP. A friend of mine had XP installation disk so she formatted and installed XP on her new Vista laptop, which did void the warranty, but at least now she has a working XP machine.

I also think MS should have done XP second edition. It's good to know that we'll be getting updates, though. I have actually dreaded buying a new computer, when the time comes, because it won't have XP. I hope that Vista just goes away and maybe they'll do some sort of XP Revisited after that. It would be worth waiting a couple of years for a new computer.

Do you think that new games will eventually require Vista, or do you think that they will skip it, and maybe have a new operating system that is superior, and allow games to continue to use XP until that time? (I'm talking about games that take a lot of resources, such as Oblivion, when there is a sequel).
