Hey, thanks for the heads up Lee, although I'm now retired my wife still works as a lecturer at a sixth form college (years 12 and 13), so she may find something of use. :)

Now a lot of people that fit the above don't know that most software companies
sell academic licensed software.

Some give it away for free.

If you did not know already, https://downloads.channel8.msdn.com/ is a first stop.

You need to first login, I used my hotmail account, then in the drop down lists select country and place of study to qualify.

It's available all around the world.

I got Microsoft Expression Web v2.0, retails at around £650

My fiance is an academic so she qualified and so forth.

which is currently offering Office Ultimate 2007 for £38.95.
