I am astonished to read this! I just got a new puppy this weekend and purchased one of these balls for her!! It has now been removed and will be sent, along with the receipt to Four Paws for a full refund!! How in the world can a company do this? I am so grateful to have read this post before something devastating happened to my little girl. Thank you so much for the information.

Anyone reading my post needs to use the email link in Copmoms 1st post. This is inhumane and needs to be dealt with. Don't let this happen to one more innocent dog. All pets die, but when something a loving owner buys as a treat causes horrific injury and/or death, well that would make it all the more tragic and some folks, I'd imagine, have trouble releasing themselves as responsible for the death.
This product cannot remain available another minute. Do your part!

Thank God for that Carol. I read the story with disbelief. I'm not a dog owner, but still love dogs and animals in general. As such I won’t eat any sort of meat because I don't believe any animal deserves to be bred for eating; but that’s a whole different story which I won’t continue with because this is about those pimple balls.

To hear such a story made my blood boil. I do hope four paws stick to whatever they are promising though from reading their blog, they are blaming the problem on a defect and not a design flaw. From the article they are therefore implying that it was their manufacturer that was at fault and not them; typical. I also followed through the links from Copmom’s link and discovered that there were many cases.

One of my friend's replied to the email I sent out, that her dog (a cocker spaniel) couldn't bite through his ball. I don't get it, she watched the movie, she could at least punch another hole in the thing herself if she isn't going to keep it from him.
I will whenI go there next week. Such a shame, it breaks my heart.

luckily Rascal punches holes all through those things without problems- but then, even a 30 pound bobcat-lynx cross hasn't got that big a tongue- and much sharper teeth.
