Hope you enjoy these old pictures—America's past ... very interesting.
Great pictures from America's past

I've checked it out and am really impressed. If you want to upload your own photographs you have to register, which means giving up some personal information. Though the viewer and the ability to look at the images in the public library are without any obligation. I'll definitely be using this program.

regards

Want To Make Your Own Synth? Some of the people from Microsoft Live Labs put together a service, Photosynth. You upload your photos (or video’s); it goes thru a process that somehow recreates those pics into a 3D walk-thru! Now a viewer can explore it in much the same way as Google Earth where you can fly thru a city anywhere from a street perspective right on up to outer space. Intrigued? Personally, I don’t even own a digital camera, but if I did I’d look more into the details of this. Seems like a novel way to share experiences. My curiosity is from a technical standpoint; however, I would appreciate to hear what some of the aficionados have to say about its practicality. On the surface it does seems like a pretty amazing way to share the details of the stuff in your life (not to mention more uses for any GAOTD Project’s imaging editing and converter giveaways!)

Home Page: http://photosynth.net/default.aspx

Examples: http://photosynth.net/explore.aspx
