i figured out how to activate the file, yes you just run don't open the zip file, the next game i download i'm going to right down exactly what i did and then post it

Got it working KeeKee? If you are using Windows XP, Open and don't Run the ZIP files. Then you will see all of the files inside, including the activation one.

It's just the Alawar games, for whatever reason, charliebird. Today's game downloaded perfectly. I don't know what Alawar has done, because their games used to download perfectly as well.

Still having problems, i went to download CheboMan and the same problem, i looked at the readme file and i found nothing, i disabled my firewall i looked everywhere and i'm stuck, i'm using winzip what am i missing, please if someone is out there than could give me step by step instructions i would much appreciate it.

I have noticed that with some of the downloads there is no activate.exe, it is all contained in the set up. Here are a couple of basic ways it goes:
The first is that it activates at the very start when you clik on the set up file, in this case you will want to allow the connection thru your firewall or turn off your firewall so it can reach out to the net to verify the activation code. For most, this is as far as it goes, and the program is up and running.

The second way this can go involves one more step by you. When you clik on setup, a small window will open in the background, you may or may not see this right away, but when you are able too, move your open window around a little to see if it is there. Inside that window will be an activation code that you will need to copy and paste into the registration part of the program. Once that is done, you may or may not have to restart the program for the registration to take affect. Hope this helps.

Did you try reading Readme.txt file (which is in the zip file)?
It maybe tell you how to activate your copy.

You say it's in the original zip package, i'm using winzip and i have gone over it several times and i don't see anything, and the other is confusing as well.

It's inside the original ZIP file. If you still can't figure it out, give the Give Away of the Day Launcher a try...this may make things simpler.

I've looked everywhere. There is no activation key with the download of today's game.

I'm still not clear on how precisely to locate activate.exe.

Activate.exe is in the original ZIP package. You installed the game using setup.exe...but you also need to run activate.exe as that places the Giveawayoftheday license info for the program.

When i go to play Snowy the bears adventure i get the demo page and i don't have a registration number, what do i do. I also don't see a ativate.exe I'm using Win XP
