Window Event Logs are found under Administrator Tools in Control Panel.

- Click "Start" button (lower left hand corner on your Desktop)
- Click "Control Panel"

That's where all the Windows settings icons are such as Display, Mouse, Internet Options, Folder Options, Windows Firewall, Add Hardware, etc.,

- Double-Click "Administrative Tools" icon
- Double-Click "Event Viewer"

Be fore warned there are many entries (log files) so it's tedious work. Incidently those log files can be safely deleted after you're through. You'll reclaim some space for your hard drive and refresh the viewer. Hope it helps

I dont know if I am on to anything. i use most of the software that you mention. CCleaner daily. I uninstall only with Revo. With Revo, I usually read all the registry entry heads before i delete them. I dont bother to read with CCleaner as I have found it to be reliable. I have tried Total Privacy but what i usually use is System Mechanic. What i recently used is JKDefrag. I dont know if that is the culprit.

That’s an astute observation and you may be on to something that could very well explain other problems people are experiencing with programs besides Wondershare’s. Something changed the characteristics of your Wondershare programs. I seriously doubt that Wondershare had anything to do with it. If they had coded in a time bomb everybody across the board, that installed their programs from GAOTD would be experiencing the symptoms you’re describing. By virtue of the fact that others, myself included, don’t have any problems with our Wondershare programs, says this problem is local.

Have you uninstalled any programs recently using CCleaner or Revo? Those aggressive uninstallers can sometimes uninstall a little too much. When it comes to deleting registry items, it sure doesn’t take much to cause gremlins to come out of hibernation and wreak havoc on an unsuspecting user. A lot of people say “delete all” with every prompt they get. What kind of security programs are you using (i.e., Total Privacy, etc)? Have you used any optimizers to clean and defrag your registry (i.e., HDD Observer, Advanced Windows Care, Glary, etc)? Have you gone through the Windows event logs to see if anything was flagged?

I know all this may not help you resolve your immediate problem, but it will help keep you from experiencing the same symptoms again. Let me know how things turn out as this is rather intriguing.

Hello aRenegade
I know the nag screen that you are referring to. This is no nag screen. It asks for a user name and password. I had started a thread saying "quizcreator expired". That thread seems to have been deleted as i cannot find it anymore in this site. Anyhow another member came up and said when he checked back after reading my thread, he found that his democreator had died on him. The consensus on that thread was our username-password data must have been "cleaned" by a "cleaner software". Appears to me that as regards Wondershare products, "sudden cardiac arrest" is much more than reported

Are you referring to the "nags" on the welcome screens? When Quiz Creator opens there's a wizard titled "Quiz Guide..." then it prompts "Open a recent quiz..." or "Create a new quiz..." and the nag says "30% Off for GOTD Users" (the text color of the 30% Off is red). Also on the command bar there's a "30% Off for GOTD Users". Those are permanent nags; however, the programs themselves are fully functioning. I just opened them to check and everything is fine. The same goes for DemoCreator. It opens with a splash screen of sorts and on that programs command bar there are 30% Off for GOTD users (take note that Wondershare uses "GOTD" instead of "GAOTD" on their nags). Seems that if those programs are expiring there would be a greater outcry from all the people who installed them. I wish I could be a little more helpful, but like I said my programs are fully functioning and those “30% Off for GOTD Users” are branded on them.

Hi macaws
There is something about Wondershare softwares that make them die suddenly. Similar thing happened to my Wondershare Quiz Creator. What is most surprising is that the software seemed to know that it is dead and it was ready for me with a line that read, "GATD activation expired ? Avail 30% discount only for GATD users....."
No it was not due to upgrade.

The software I got:DemoCreator, from givaway just expired and tried to give me a 30% discount. I thought that the software was REGISTERED, not just a longer trial.
