The registration is built in the setup.exe for todays giveaway All My Movies. At the end of installing it don't let it auto launch just shut it down then open it on your own and go to the "Help" tab and go down to click on "About" and a box will open and it should say "Licensed to Giveawayoftheday" in the center.

Lee
Opps! My bad, I just opened the folder again and did notice this time it contained beside the INI file, only one file that had both activate and setup in one exe. Being interrupted while looking in the folder last night I saw 3 files in a flash moment and took it that there was another exe file which actually was the zip file of the original download. Sorry about that. Getting old, can't multi-task like before. LOL

Pormotroy2

I'm trying to do the math. This Giveaway was given on July 14th and today being July 30th, a question comes to mind. When did you actually download this program? If you had downloaded the Giveaway on July 14th you only had that one day to have it be registered. After installing the program and if you were online at the same time your internet browser should have opened and a web page to GAOTD telling you the program had been activated along with a pop-up box saying the same. On the program interface in the tab Help, click on "About" it says "Giveawayoftheday".

Quickly reviewing the comments of the day FolderMarker one person mentioned this,
#116 John.

“I am using a windows xp pro with sp2. Because this software can only be installed by Administrator account, so when I finished installation, the program only shows registered under Administrator account. When I switch to my normal daily account, it will show unregistered.”

Did you have administrative privileges under the screen name when you had installed it?
Seems a bigger deal when running Windows’ Vista.

If it was registered, and looking at the 22 days you have left, then something happened 8 days ago. Lee said about updating, did you update it? Or did you happen to do a restore point that day? Even though mine is still registered Giveawayoftheday, in this program’s Help tab does show some links to buy, enter code and some to upgrade. Could you have messed with those links that day?
Try to remember what could have happened 8 days ago.
If your's is a trial version you got on July 14th, then you would only have only 16 days left, not 22.

Folder Marker Home v3.0 the last gaotd version was self registered via the executable.

If you want it left as that then don't update it.

If it automatically registered why would it say: This version is UNREGISTERED there are only 22 days left of 30 for trial?

One of the reasons you have to have it registered the day it was offered is for the activate file to work that came along with the download files. The program you are requesting didn't come with a register code. I looked in my archive folder of downloads from here and it only came with the setup.exe with the activate.exe file and of course the read me.txt which has no code in it meaning, this program self registered through the activate.exe and that file is now expired and useless.

If you looking for folder icons here's an alternative freeware to try out, a free equivalent called FolderIco. Not sure how this one works but it was posted in the comments page the day FolderMaker was offerd.

hello, promotroy2...

i believe "Folder Marker Home" was automatically registered when you ran "Setup.exe"...there was no registration code provided in the "readme.txt"...

also, had there been a reg. code, providing it to you now would violate GOTD Terms and Conditions...

Folder Marker does have a free version with fewer features...maybe that would suit your needs?...

http://www.foldermarker.com/compare-versions.php

hth...

promotroy2 .. once the 24 hour period is up there is no way to recapture that. You might want to contact the Folder Marker website:

Is there anywhere where past registration codes can be found. I apparently forgot to put in the code for the giveaway "Folder Marker" after installing it as it is still asking me for it. I would like to keep this one. Can anyone help?
