sometimes #3 is 'strictly non-commercial use', so it pays to note which it is, as there's a distinct difference...

Hi nysailor,
Unfortunately, giveaways do not come with a reinstall feature. If you're wiley enough, there are ways of overcoming some losses, but in most cases, what would be the point anyway because most applications are constantly being updated. Virtually all giveaways come with no upgrades or technical help. (Just read the readme that comes with each giveaway, or look at the forums, theres a thread specific to what your wanting). There are a few 'very' kind developers who have waived this particular remit of the giveaway project, but out of the hundreds that have contributed since the project started back in September/October 2006 there are only a couple.

Anyway, under normal circumstances, you are not able to reinstall any giveaway after the actual day of the giveaway unless the application is given away again. :) Sorry to sound so negative about things.

To be honest, I see this project as a way of testing out applications for extended periods and also to be able to compare several programs that are similar, and then to make an 'informed' choice as to which program is worth buying. Prior to this I'd often tried an application; bought it on the basis of a very limited demo and then discovered that it wasn't what I wanted, it didn't actually do what it purportedly said it did or that I'd found something better after I'd purchased the program. I personally will buy most of the programs that I've found really useful. It seems the only fair thing to do, and will benefit the community in the end, with better products and possibly lower prices as well.

I save the username and product key whenever I download and install software from GOAD, but in this case as well as some others there is an automatic activation. I have a new machine and installed AMUST Rgistry Cleaner but can't register it. No response from their tech support. Any ideas in addition to using a diffrent product?
