I&#39;ve created two new categories in my Steam games list, ones called &#39;Unplayed games&#39; and the other &#39;New games&#39;. Both are longer than any other category (such as RPG, RTS, FPS etc). They don&#39;t move out of those categories till I&#39;ve played the game for at least an hour. </p> <p>I&#39;ve hardly touched any of the games I bought in the last sale yet. Partyl becasue I&#39;ve been obsessed with just a couple of the games. :)</p> <p>The Battle for Wesnoth is a great freebie that&#39;s well worth installing onto any gamers computer. The most beautiful rpg game I&#39;ve ever played. Better than any of its type (eg Gothic Riven. The Witcher or the latest release Dragonage: Origins). There&#39;s around a 100Gb of mods to download for the game which extends some areas of the game world or adds loads of extra content. The graphics are gorgeous and the gameplay is riveting. I&#39;ve not played it much since getting its sucessor Fallout 3, but intend returning to it soon. I&#39;m still enthralled by the post apocalyptic feel of Fallout 3 and have only just started to unlock the downloadable content. Oblivion awaits for another day, lol.</p> <p>A good alternative is its predecessor Morrowind, which can be bought via Steam for a decent price. Get it while the goings hot. If you’ve never played RPG’s and find you really like it, then try one of the many boxed sets you can buy from the bargain bins such as Myst III: Exile or URU Ages beyond Myst, Wizardry 8 and earlier versions of Might and Magic such as version IX that only cost me less than $10 each as you’ll find the first/third person immersivness and the far superior graphics are amazing compared to this giveaway, and, after today, you’ll find them a lot cheaper as well. I’ve seen The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on offer for around $10 over the price this game usually costs, ($30) and used copies for the same price.
