Thanks for the reply copmom :)

I suspected similar initially, but it seems it was a Comodo issue.
Through trial and error I discovered that Comodo needs to be put into Installation mode to facilitate the install.
This is unusual, as normally I am prompted by the software when a process needs particular access yet was not on this particular install.
Maybe something is launched silently?

Anyway, it's now installed and working and I've had to muscle my way back to my keyboard to post this reply..(My boy is eagerly waiting for me to finish this so he can resume playing) :D

Thought I'd better post this was solved in case any others come across similar issues.
The error lead me to believe that a file was in use, not that a file couldn't be accessed.

Anyway, all's good, thanks again for the game GoTD and the swift reply offering a suggestion copmom.

I'm being pulled away by my arm now...I really have to go lol

Regards
Erb

Erb, perhaps it's that SP3? There have been quite a few problems similar to yours after folks have upgraded to XP-SP3. All the bugs still have not been ironed out in that. Hope this helps!

Hi

I'm really hoping someone can shed some light on how I can get past this.

I've installed other offerings from GoTD and GGoTD without problems.
When the setup.exe and activation.exe were bundled at least..

I've only tried installing 1 other offer lately and had a similar error, but wasn't too concerned as I was only installing the offer to have a quick look at it.

However today I noticed "Ozzy Bubbles" offered.
I have a 4 year old son and he adores Turtle Oddysey 2.
As far as I know, and by looking at the screenshots this is the pre-cursor to that fine game.

When I try to install the game I get the following error..

"The process cannot access the file because it is in use by another process".

This is somewhat vague, and as such I have no idea what exactly the installer is having problems with.
The activation works fine..(3 times in total now I've arrived at the "Congratulations, you've activated etc" page)
This side of things seems fine but it's pointless activating a game that isn't installing.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this please?
This is about the only giveaway that has interested me in some time.
When the games started becoming weekend only I feel the content was less desirable and so didn't bother downloading. Seeing today's offering has renewed my interest in the site.
I'm gutted this doesn't install, and foolishly I told my son I had another "Tommy Turtle" game for him to play (he renamed him to Tommy :) )

Now I have a 4 year old who is pestering the life out of me to play this game and It will not install.

Any suggestions welcomed..a fix would be a god-send.

Running XP-SP3 Windowblinds, Kaspersky AV, Comodo FW.
I can list other processes running if it will help, but I'm suspecting one of the above.

Please...my kid is driving me mad!
Thanks in advance
Erb
