Its 2:30 am here now, and still no new giveaway - nuts. The Internet conection was fine, everything else worked as usual.</p> <p>There was an open page that had a link to the zip file, a remnant of the morning I guess. But the link wouldn't open a download either until, at about 11:30, after clicking on the download link a hundred times, I suddenly got a download requestt. I accepted it, downloaded, unzipped the tar file, read the text file for instructions, and run setup ....</p> <p>Failure again. The setup was not starting the installation program at all. Sometimes I would get errors like the ones elimoon got, other times I got different errors. Mostly were telling me to come again at a later time. At 12:01, setup suddenly opened the installation program and it worked! Furthermore I was even allowed to test my new uninstaller, Ashampoo Uninstaller Platinun 2. The program runs fine and I got the data from the uninstaller. I tried installing it within the last few minutes before the giveaway ended, but I'm sure it was not a time issue (or a firewall issue), for I tried on two computers that both displayed the time as before 2:00 and neither computer had a firewall running. The download package does not seem to have been the problem either, for I downloaded two separate packages on both computers. I am running XP SP2 on both computers and I haven't had any problems activating software previously. Please let me know if you can help! I actually took a screenshot, and if anyone wants to see it, I can upload it. </p>
