So far I haven't had a reply myself, but still have a spam clean email and others are reporting the same thing that they haven't had any that could be link to them either. The email account I had used is only 3 months old and has only been used for this program and 2 others.
As far as unistalling, it does shows up in my control panel's add/remove list. What you could do is go to the program's folder if you installed it here C:\Program Files\Flex GIF Animator
In the folder there is a file called "unins000.exe" Then after it uninstalls you could just delete the folder and whatever Icons it left behind.

I've not received a reply either. And just noticed there is no 'uninstall' with the program.

Doesn't show up in 'add/remove software' either.

Novice question I'm sure but -- Now how do I get rid of it?

also, my spam has increased big time since this download and emailing for a registration.... Anyone else notice an increase in spam?

I don't buy the "overwhelmed by email" excuse. I could mail out more codes myself in three days than they have. And they could have very easily set up a system where any emails sent were replied to automatically.....even if it was only a reply saying they were overwhelmed by email.

I am not sorry I deleted the program. They don't know how to run their business. I doubt they are any better at producing or acquiring decent software.

To look on the bright side :
The company is sending reg codes to all of you right now.
They say around 4000 emails were received in 14hrs.
I did see a second user who finally did receive his code.So I am not the only one anymore.

I have removed Flex GIF Animator from my computer. I suggest that everyone else do the same. Show companies like this that we will not put up with deception and lack of service. I hope GOTD will keep this sort of thing from happening again in the future. There have already been too many complaints without this problem adding to them.

Robert.....you suggest a free rerun from this company. Are you kidding? Why would you want us to go through this mess twice? The company that offered this GIF Animator will, I'm sure, come up with all kinds of excuses. The only way to handle companies like that is to walk away from them. Too many people put up with too much nowdays.

A rerun? If I were GOTD, I would tell them to take a hike, but I would use much more colorful language. -Dan

You are, IMHO, one of the greatest assets that GAOTD has to offer. If anybody thinks that you are responsible for anything going wrong they are either newbies or totally out of touch with reality.

Everyone knows ,or should know, that you are not responsible in anyway for the giveaways.
I suppose the company was trying to outsmart GAOTD and its users.It was the strangest installation procedure I have ever come across.

I read some users hit the send button 20x so it will take the company a while to get things sorted...that is if they still care.
Or at least they owe GAOTD to offer a free rerun.

I haven't heard anything. I've uninstalled the program, and shut down the email address.

If I do hear something I'll be sure something is posted in the forums.

(And to anyone reading this, and then posting comments on the front page - that mention my name in association with yesterdays giveaway, I had absolutely nothing to do with the running or selection of any giveaways. If I could do something to resolve the problem, I would. At least it only takes a single mouse click to delete inane comments).

delenn - Johnny didn't have nuttin to do with this fiasco. His seeds aren't of the Golden or Red Delicious varieties. Speaking of which, have you noticed how the premature harvesting has produced crappy, mealy, tasteless orbs? Johnny's hard at work creating a square apple with a high sugar content, but I don't think he grasps the fine points of hybridizing. He's been taking mature apples, cutting off the sides and dipping them in sugar.

Ketrout, if you read this thread and the comments in the giveaway itself, you'll see that pretty much everyone else is in the same boat you are. This company appears to have stuck everyone with a demo version and thus far failed to deliver on the licenses. This is pretty much an isolated incident as far as GAOTD goes.

I have sent the proper information that is requested twice and have waited now for over 24 hours. Is there any help out there? I don't want to complain, being that the program is free, but I still would like to be able to try out ALL of the features.

If there is anyone from here within the Forum that can help me it would be much appreciated.

Looks like this company has succeeded in trashing it's own reputation here at GAOTD. I know after my experience here I would never even consider purchasing anything from this company and would advise anyone else against it. At this point it would take more than their living up to their promise to send valid licenses to all who emailed them. Their lack of response here and the time lag is inexcusable for a legitimate software company. It's a shame as I would have liked to have used this program. I also feel for GAOTD as they too got burned by this one. It's now been almost 24 hours and only one person received a license. Fortunately, I used an account I use only for such registrations so they don't have any of my important email accounts.

Looks to me like this is just a way for the software company to gain all downloaders' e-mail addresses, as you can only register by sending them an e-mail. Clever. I will never do it again. This site just keeps getting better and better.....

I'm hoping that if we get the code pass the time limit it will still work. From the 2 projects I tried this seems like a good program to try and keep. I like the many features it has, more then the few freebies I've come across. Just that the trial version has the DEMO watermark. Does look like a promising program. Oh well onto the next Give Away. 2 hours to go.
