Hola, hello, Ciao, commnet ca va, Kaitxo from sunny Phoenix,

Graylox, you crack me up. The way people write such funny posts in such short messages escapes me. Is there a class that I can take to learn it?

As for knives and swords and such I am the proud owner of an Ax. It is a beautiful Ax, not too big, not too small, not too heavy, not too light, not too old, not too ... OK, I'll stop the not too descriptive description here, but you get the gist of it.
I am game for a duel. I guess I can make a plastic Ax if needed cause I'm crafty you know?

Cheers,

AxCut

So I can speak Spanish, English and, if I dig enough in my skull, French.
I know no German, but I have a sister (technically speaking she is my cousin but we all grew up together) that lives in Germany (Does that count?).

I can read (slowly) most Italo-Western languages like Italian, Catalan, Gallician and Portuguese, but English is the only Anglo Saxon language I can read, write or speak.

I wish I could speak Euskera but it was forbidden during Franco's dictatorship. If you, or your children, were caught speaking it you would be punished with a beating in front of your family or a bullet in the head if you were a repeat offender.

My Spanish side Grandma was fluent, but out of fear she never taught it to my Mom, so I never learned it as a kid. When Franco finally died, the language was allowed again but it was too late for me to learn as my major preoccupation at the time was girls and something else I can't quite remember.

Hello, Hola, Comment ca va

You guys seem great, funny, friendly and familiar. One thing about the Butter Knives is, don't run with them. Seriously, you can duel all you want but don't run with them!! Or is it.. it doesn't matter. Just look at my name for what may happen if you are careless with deadly weapons.

Don't worry Lee. What is so great is the fact that you tried to help. You can only say what you know right? I give advice when people ask, nothing more. Besides The Wonderful World of Redmond has made predicting what is going to happen when you do something to any given computer is in no way correlated with how any other computer would react to the same thing.

There are plenty of cases when this holds true even if both computers are the same.

funkymom, I've lived in Tucson for 8 years while going to UofA. In fact, my father was born there and I have lots of Cousins and Uncles here. I still need to go to get a replacement of my Bachelor's diploma which was stolen for no good reason I can think of.
Strange Days Indeed, Most Peculiar Mamma.

LeKanaw, Est que tu est Canadien? Je parle un petit Fracasise, plutot donc de la TV(?). Je fais beacoup de 'mistakes' mais je peu lire sans probleme. Longtime ago I could read and write French. You see, even though technically speaking English is my third language (pretty strange for a US citizen), I have spent the last 20 years speaking it and it has somehow eroded my French. But I would pick it up if necessary.

And if you want crazy, you got the right person and I mean it.

Anyhoo these posts are way off topic and maybe we should move it to the normal place where they occur. I am off to bed, thank heavens AZ doesn't have DLS.

Sinceramente,

AxCut

Bonjour AxCut
I think u already notice this here forum is quite different. VERY.
Not to say we don't get some crazies from time to time. But for *some* reason, they don't stick around...
Too many friendly and helpful ppl around, a lot of very interesting Ladies! They can't stand all this niceness, I suppose... ;-)

Now, true some sporadic real craziness erupts occasionally, ie there is a duel being organized between Scubaguy and me - He proposed Butter Knives instead of swords!!
Can u imagine? Crazy I tell u!! I'm bringing my sword and thats that!!

I'm the Clowness around here, so a Big Welcome. If u need any help, just ask!
Don't remember who actually said it (maybe the Ambassador? or MrB?), we are ALL newbies of *something* right?

Amicalement, Mangoette :-D

Well AxCut, my advice I gave worked for me.

I use a separate machine to try and test GAOTD.

Maybe some things on some people puter configs work, on others it don't.

I prefer your Your Uninstaller! 2008 Pro v6.1.1236 myself ( I use it on my main machine).

I am pleased that todays GAOTD you find usefull.

Ok copmom,

First I ran the uninstaller for the 3.5 version. BIG mistake as this was really uninstalling Cleanse Uninstaller pro. As a result, both 3.5 and Pro showed as broken installations. This was getting worse.

People call me a pack rat but in this case I proved that you never know when you are going to need something you threw away just because people call you a pack rat.

But I don't care what people call me and I always keep all the GAOTD's just in case and boy, this was the case. I had the 3.5 zip file that I downloaded back when. I ran the installation of the 3.5 version but I didn't run its activation or the program itself.

I was not sure if this was going to work but it did! Version 3.5 was back in the list as a non broken install and to top it off it had its own uninstaller which I promptly used. Bye Bye version 3.5

I still had the pro version as a broken install so I reinstalled today's offering and the broken pro version was no longer. It works like a charm (or at least I hope it does).

AxCut

PS: Thank you for the warm welcome copmom. It is really nice of you and I think newcomers become less 'afraid' to post because of it. Most forums call you a newbie and make fun of you using words like stupid or ignoramus or even cuss at you. There should be more people like you in the WWW.

Hmm,

I guess it is not that simple. After following your suggestion and replying to your post I used all the programs that lists the software installed in my computer.

All of them lists two Cleanse Uninstaller installations, 3.4 and pro. I don't know very much about how XP works, but something tells me that this is not good.

I am at a loss again.

I downloaded and have been using the previous version (3.4.0.0) of Cleanse Uninstaller that was offered here. I want to install today's new version but I can't find how to proceed anywhere. Should I uninstall the old one first? Should I upgrade from the old one? Is it ok to install the new one over the old one?

I really like this program and I would hate losing it because of some little detail.

TIA,
