BTW, copmom- a trick I came with to let you do 1.2 mb 5-1/4" to 3-1/2" using discopy for exact dupes, or put images of those discs on 3.5's- go into the bios and tell it the 3.5 is a 5.25 and it makes them format as 1.2 mb. worked pretty good backing up when I ran low on the bendy ones. :)

Maybe, but it's not that simple to do - and surely you don't want them to make this "game on the weekend" thing permanent? Hopefully it is only until the current projects and workload start to wind down.

If you include the forums - I'm sure that together, we can come up with a game a day. Even if it's not commercial - I have seen (mentioned in these forums) freeware games that blow the socks off some of the commercial games that are available.

and I still have a ton of the old DOS, Win3.1 and Win95 games still on floppies! Shame that I haven't been able to replay some of those on WinXP! But, this machine doesn't even take the 5-1/4" floppies.. oh, guess I could copy them to the 3-1/2" ones and then install!

Release *or* re-release has to be negotiated for every giveaway, and when you're talking 20,000+ copies, easy, for a one-day giveaway... that's a non-trivial problem. and then things get... interesting.

Bubby, you make statistical software, plug-ins and macros sound bad! I for one have an arsenal of these...Statgraphics and MiniTab are two favorites. :)

I've also found ways to play my old DOS version, Leisure Suite Larry game floppies (not CDRs) on Windows XP. You have now idea how excited it made me to be able to play them again!

So bring them on! I'll take em'! LOL
