I unchecked all image associations during the setup of the program. IMHO all existing associated should have remained. I agree that,*once IC is installed*,unchecking file ass with IC requires manual re-association. But,as I said before, it is a *minor* problem and requires only basic user intervention. IMC indeed save the original association value in the registry. For example: .jpg association: you can check it from HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.jpg You will see (Default) and Old_Default. When IMC unregister the association, it will copy back whatever value in Old_Default to (Default) again. graylox on "Image Compressor 2008. I downloaded the trial version and *yes* the file association problem seemed to be fixed. But Houston we still have a minor problem.
