About Us
In today’s complex world, children’s futures are determined by their ability to master the basics of reading, science, math and computers. Yet costs, class sizes and other issues often prevent children access to quality online learning that can support and reinforce these essential skills.

Our vision is to be the source for childhood learning on the Internet – available from anywhere and without charge. Established in late 2004, e-Learning for Kids is a global, nonprofit foundation dedicated to fun and free learning on the Internet for children ages 5 - 12. We offer free, best-in-class courseware in math, science, reading and keyboarding; and we’re building a community for parents and educators to share innovations and insights in childhood education.

E-learning for Kids isn’t only for kids, though; it’s also a site where:
* Parents get more engaged in their kids’ education
*
Educators and experts champion e-learning and contribute their knowledge on how kids can learn better.

*
Commercial education and game developers contribute to the next generation.

* Corporations and associations channel their social responsibility efforts.
* People with a passion for childhood education make a difference....

One of the sites:

It took me a very looooong time to find this thread; I think this post is worth the trouble.

Thanks Lox, I'm going to check this out myself. Anything that professes to have physics based Phun is right up my street. I'll add it to the free games project as well once I've checked it out as it appears to be just right. :)

This is Phun!
Phun is a free game like 2D physics sandbox where you can play with physics like never before. The playful synergy of science and art is novel, and makes Phun as educational as it is entertaining.
Great for kids
Phun is a fantastic toy for children, where they can learn and appreciate physics, science and simulations in an open ended gameplay with rich creative and artistic freedom, including colorful freehand drawing.
and everyone else...
But watch out, Phun is also totally addictive to the rest of us! Experienced users create fabulous machines and elaborate mechanism using Phun, as well as games, comics and contemporary art. See more of Phun in the media section, or go download it!
...and for free!
Phun - 2D physics sandbox

If 50 years ago my physic lessons would have been so phunny, then I would be

"LibriVox recording of Poems Every Child Should Know, edited by Mary E. Burt. Read by Kara Shallenberg.

This anthology of poetry, published in 1904, contains such favorites as The Raven, My Shadow, and The Village Blacksmith, as well as many lovely poems that may be unfamiliar. Most of the poems in this collection are short enough for children to memorize."

I've been meaning to say thanks for the links, but I was kind of embarrassed. :[ These are supposed to be for kids and I spent a couple of hours, off and on, trying to complete the Plexus Puzzle. I finally threw in the towel and gave up after getting only about 60% of the pieces to attach together. I think my largest cluster was 4 pieces. Oh, well...I did terrific with Falling Sand! LOL :D Thanks!
