With those that come with a seperate activation module that wouldn't be a problem though.

With the games and some of the applications you can always install the program initially to wherever it's going which sets the reg in the registry, then you can follow the links that are always provided to the home page of the developer or distributor and download the file from there; then use the installer. :)

Actually, if you install the file that's not got the activation module first, when you install the file from the software wrappered file provided by the giveaway project it should follow the same path you created for the first install.

the games are in a self-extracting zip, sure. but to keep them from being installed other times gaotd puts a 'shell' around them that checks the servers, so zipinstaller can't get to the zip to do it's job.

for the gaotd files, first you have to get them out of the software wrapper, and telling how is verboten.

Perhaps this tool solves the problems with the games, that come without an installer :

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/zipinst.html

Description
The ZipInstaller utility installs and uninstalls applications and utilities that do not provide an internal installation program. It automatically extracts all files from the Zip file, copies them to the destination folder you select, creates shortcuts in the start menu and in your desktop, and adds an uninstall module to allow you to automatically remove the software in the future.
This utility was originally developed to install the utilities in NirSoft Web site, but you can use it for installing utilities and applications from other sources, like the utilities provided in SysInternal Web site, Funduc Software, and many others.
Generally, this utility can install properly almost any software compressed in Zip files that doesn't provide an install/uninstall module.
