I have a new concern and am awaiting clarification from Androme. (parent co)
Apparently, after installing the software, launching it creates a .ctp file that uses your computer's identifier (your user name) as the file name! Now, I know that GIF animators can type whatever they want re- copyright or byline credits in a "Trailing Comments" box; but this kind of automatic identification is worrisome if it is also stamped on the Creatoon itself somehow.

This reminds me of when I first realized (15 years ago??) that the morons at Microsoft set the Word, Excel, et al defaults to append registered info to the Document Properties (meaning if you send a doc or xls file to someone, they can see your registered name and other personal information unless you take the time to delete it!)

If anyone builds a Creatoon, please let us know if it contains any personal info read off your computer. I'll let y'all know if Androme responds.

I swear this software was given for free years ago due to the same reasons mentioned in post 1.

After viewing the sample "creatoon" - Huff&Puff, we should ask BubbyCo to produce a "toon" for the Game of the Day comments page to demonstrate how reading the README file before installing software helps prevent forest fires, unintended pregnancies and premature pattern baldness.

Due to a recent management decision, Androme N.V. decided to discontinue further developments to update CreaToon. Therefore, CreaToon is now available for FREE!

CreaToon® is a powerful software solution for the PC to create 2D animation in the cut-out style.

Its main features are:

* real-time editing previewing,
* automatic in-betweening,
* freedom of graphical style,
* combining bitmaps with vector graphics.

Don't forget to also download the unlock software, also available on the download page.

http://www.creatoon.com/download.php
