Thanks BuBBY,

I was wondering why I still had a 'full version'. I was thinking that perhaps since the license key was possibly registered in my 'registry keys' when I first downloaded the version then when I re-installed it recognized that as a full license key?.

By what you are saying I have a 'full version' as they offer that anyway for free?. That would certainly account for my 'full version'.

Best product I have used for its purpose anyway and thanks to GOTD for bringing to my notice.

I was told the giveaway StarBurn was the "Full Version" PLUS a few very expensive modules that they sell for commercial/corporate use.

It seems anyone can download the full version - but they make their money selling to corporate clients and doing custom development/extensions for StarBurn (of which we received a few). For probably 99% of users though - they will have neither the opportunity or ability to take full advantage of the extensions (other than out of curiosity).

Certainly it's a full version- the one goatd gave out had another module you could install, that's all.

goodgotd,

Thanks for the reply M8. The one I downloaded I have been using for a while now and there appears to be no limitations as to the number of burns etc. None of the features (tab icons) are 'greyed' out and when I checked the register button is says that it was registered successfully!. To me this seems to appear that it is a 'full' version?.

Beats me!.

I downloaded it and there is nothing to say it is a trial version

Nope, no luck at all- the one you downloaded was the free version- the gaotd one was a commercial superpackege with some features you'll probably never notice the lack of.

IIRC, the major one was being able to burn over the network to a remote computer's burner- and even I wouldn't try it out. If it'd worked right in the first place- me being a win2k user, well...

Enjoy!

Hi,

Recently I downloaded Starburn 9.5 (not the re-run) and found it to be a great program. No problems with burning discs and much better than Ashampoo burning studio. I have not used all the features yet but so far it has not failed yet.
All good until the other day when I 'accidently' deleted the program. I went to reinstall but it would not work (giveaway of the day had finished)and I missed the re-run of the program. I liked it that much that I downloaded the trail version from the Starburn website and installed it. believing I would only have a trail version. To my surprise I found that I still have the full version. Has anyone else experienced this or is it just 'lucky'.

Thanks
