Januay 31st - Back in the Hospital Again

Hannah was so lathargis today! Fortunatley she had a doctor's appointment. A blood test showed a calcium level rather higher then normal. We suspect that the vitamin D content of two of the medicines cause a spike in the calcium levels. It is agreed that Hannah is an unusual case. Room 430 - Pomerado Hospital , Poway.

LOL that's funny! BUT.. now that you mention it, I have tamed a feral kitty that's been here, she even came in the house for awhile yesterday (while the dogs were out!), and maybe she made me sick!!! Maybe I've got feline distemper??

Thank you all!!! I was SO relieved about them not finding any parathyroid in her removed tissue. That was our greatest concern, that maybe the surgeon messed up! That what makes the calcium in the body, and even my brother (he's a doctor), said that had him 'very concerned'.. so YES it is good news!
By the way... who on here gave me a sore throat and cold?? I haven't left the house lately, and suddenly woke with a sore throat Tues., so the ONLY place I could have caught it was HERE! LOL

Great News :) I will continue to pray for her. I hope the medication hasn't got too many side effects as they can be the pits. I send all my wishes to you and your family

Off topic, but had to share!

http://members.cox.net/hannahandq/

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and for signing her guest book!!
{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}} to all!!

January 29th
Hannah was released from the hospital at about 1 PM, yesterday. We immediately drove to the Endocrinologist’s office. She prescribed four separate medications as well as ordering blood work for today. The rest of the evening was spend going to Hannah’s college class to gather her homework, and then to two pharmacies to find the medications prescribed. Today Hannah had a blood test. The ENT phoned with the pathology report. No cancer was located in the Thyroid half removed on Friday. The best news is no parathyroid glands were located in the removed tissue. This gives us every hope that Hannah’s calcium levels will be maintained by her own body at some future date.
