<description>&#60;p&#62;Downside to digitally signed software, it takes longer to produce a sig, you have to pay for a cert, then apply the cert to the program and recompile every freaking time. And it takes longer too.

<description>&#60;p&#62;The Activate executable is not digitally signed. A digital signature ensures the executable actually comes from Giveaway of the Day and has not been tampered with in transit. Additionally, Windows Live OneCare will allow digitally signed software through the firewall without prompting because if it is malware, then there is a unique signature that the antimalware portions can detect without false positives.
