Robert,
Thanks very much. I was able to get my system back working. Really weird, but when I first went into Ez's subdirectory, there was no installation point to go back to. Then I did Chkdsk from C prompt and apparently it found Ez's "installation point" because when I went back into subsystem of EZ to uninstall, all went smoothly. I was able to go to the "Installation point", remove EZ and get back to desktop to use their manual uninstall tool. My system is back to normal and I didn't lose much, if anything. Sara, sorry you had to re-install Windows - that can be a pain when having to reload all of your software. Hope you had a backup!

Sara47, while reinstalling Windows cures many woes, it wasn't necessary to take such a drastic step.

Hi Sara ,LadyStephens

Insert your winXP cd and reset your computer.
Make sure your computer is set to boot from cd.

LadyStephens,
You should try system restore first(from cd)
If this doesn't work proceed with Sara.

Sara,
Type FIXMBR at the command prompt- press enter.

After rebooting check your system restore settings.
IF you said NO to disable systemrestore during the installation of EAZ,you are the lucky one:
choose a recovery point prior to the installation of EAZ.

Hello All,
My first post here and I hope someone can help me. I installed EZFix and the program freezes upon reaching my desktop level and won't allow me to customize EZ-Fiz or click on any other program. The mouse even freezes and I am (now) unable to start up in Safe Mode. So therefore I am unable to get in to use EZFix manual uninstall. Does anyone know a way that I can manually edit the startup (from C:\) prompt so EZFix doesn’t load? It did not make an Installation snapshot and I've read the forum about the MBR? If I do this will it get me back into my desktop without freezing?

Fortunately my hard drive was backed up a few days ago so if I need total re-haul it won’t hurt half as bad when I had a hard drive crash but I'm loath to reinstall all of the programs, etc. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Well myself, I prefer Norton Ghost.

Make an image, couple of days down-the-line, you get a problem, slip the disk in after booting, search for image and restore working image.

I always delete the drive so it creates a new drive labeled C and writes the image back over.

Voila!

and the second case, at the install page if we say give us demo key, the key given from program is same as gotd license key. consequently the gotd license is not full license key.
