The new Wikisend interface is a great improvement over the original.

No longer have a "first" download which fails and eliminated the Contents problem since there is no Contents window.

Ref my previous post.

I am using "MetaProducts Download Express" with IE7.

I can cancell the first download but still get the Wikifortio page without contents.

The subsequent program d/l works OK.

First download goes to wikifortio and d/l file.ZIP from w4.wikifortio.com. This file is about 50 kb and always results in a "folder invalid or corrupt" error AND contents window says "cannot contact".

Second d/l of file.ZIP from w4.wikifortio.com results in succesful d/l, extraction of files, and installation of program.

Should first d/l be looking for the same file on wikifortio as the second one? Is this causing the error? How to fix?

If you are getting errors or the Wikifortio server appears down - you can post your issues - here where patterns (if any) of problems, browsers, OS, can be determined - and hopefully fixed.

Useful to know tell us which version of windows and internet browser you have tried, also very useful (though not essential) the region/country you live in (the site might be inaccessible for example to people in Australia), also important the exact error messages you see.

Also check the main & mirror downloads for both the Giveaway and Game.Giveaway sites.

so:
- Which download isn't working?
- Windows and Internet Browser Version you are using.
- Location (ie. Country)
- The error message you are getting.
- Check both main and mirror Wikifortio download sites.

For "advanced users":
- empty your browser cache and retry.
- If you are running a firewall - check logs for blocks/errors while connecting.
- can you ping both of the wikifortio download servers successfully?
