I don't know how to have Frigate to open the same folder all of the time mwg402. But it does remember what you had opened before, including tabs. It also sports Quick folders.

An extremely useful opportunity Frigate has. If you work with a project or have a folder that you use quite often, open it in a simplified way. For this memorize the folder by Ctrl+Аlt+Shift+<Number> and press Alt+<Number> when you want to get into the folder next time.

***DISREGARD*** I found the answer -- it's the Save Desktop option on the Main window of Control Center. Not a very intuitive description -- Desktop can mean a lot of things.

"Does anybody know how to tell the program to start in a fixed specific folder with a specific view? I looked all over for that option but couldn't find one; it seems like a pretty basic option for a file manager. NSCRT.dll is the "Nullsoft C++ Runtime Engine" - it is installed with many MP3 players and utilities (and obviously Winamp). The reason Frigate3 wants this DLL to be available is to support it's Winamp integration

Now you could try to get it from one of those DLL sites - or just get an actual copy of winamp (Free) from http://www.winamp.com

If you get the error NSCRT.DLL can’t be found or LIBSNDFILE.DLL, download the files from the links below, extract from zip and drop them in the app folder c:\program files\frigate3

I just posted this over in activation:

If on first startup of Frigate3 you get an error message about not finding nscrt.dll, it's a file from Winamp. If winamp isn't on your path, and you search for and copy over nscrt.dll, don't stop there or it'll whine about libsndfile.dll too. it needs both DLLs to start up. dunno where you can download them by themselves- yet.

it says nscrt.dll cannot find. how ı can solve this problem.
