I would decompress the files that come as zip with winrar.

Just right click the zip and select extract to.

Or check the forums for a free similar zip utility, 7zip is a good one for free.

I downloaded VideoWatermarkFactory.zip followed directions but as many others received error messages. When finally returned and received the "fix" now receive a message saying the giveaway has expired. Does anyone know if I have any options? Or, am I...well you know.

On my XP Media Center, I had this same problem with both Sibental products (today’s Video Watermark Factory, and Media Resizer Pro of 2 days ago):

Product(s) would only install and run from an administrator-privilege account. Attempts to additionally “activate” or “setup” from non-admin accounts (ordinary user; i.e., my kids’ account) did not result in working programs.

Instead I got a small window with the following error message for both products:

Error: Cant’t find instalation path!

(with spelling as shown)

For Media Resizer Pro that message appeared in a window titled “connector” and I tracked it to this file: C:\Program Files\Media Resizer PRO\connector.dll

For Video Watermark Factory that same message appeared in a window titled “Video Watermark Factory”, but I have not yet found the file that contained the message (I was assuming the file would similarly be somewhere under C:\Program Files\Video Watermark Factory)

Thanks to “Carol” and others for the comments on Media Resizer Pro regarding disabling/renaming the shell extension file “shellext.dll”. That had my non-admin kids’ accounts really messed up since every right-click on many file types caused Windows to reload (after displaying the same error message above as when trying to launch those programs).

I get the "VideoWatermarkFactory.zip" file in my Temporary Internet Files but there is always an "error in commpression". I've tried 20 times.

Mirror link #1 does not work either.

GAotD Launcher does not work either as I get this "Debug" error when I click on the "Download and install" button;
"There was an errort connecting to Give Away of the Day. This is probably a programing error.

I am running Win 98SE and MSIE 6.0.2800
