alison mentioned previously - is running 7-zip.
need to extract all of the files in the zip file - into their own folder. (not shared with temp etc) just to be sure.
then close 7 zip (don't run the files from within the zip program)

BTW BillW50, "non-classic" mode in Winzip - is called "Wizard" mode.

Also - one of the changes I suggested to the PTB is to display the codes BEFORE the setup program runs - then only after clicking on OK the setup program would start - that way people cannot accidentally "skip over" the codes immediately after the install. (I'm sure some people will still manage to "skip over" the codes immediately before the install though).

I should have said that WinZip running in non-classic mode will only run setup.exe and that is it.

That advice is for Vista users. I don't have Vista so I don't know exactly how it works. Under Windows XP, if your user has administrator access... just ignore people telling you that you have to have administrator access.

The only other thing I can think of if you are still having problems... is that WinZip running in non-classic mode will not let you see any files in the ZIP file. As there are two to three files found in there that you have downloaded. They are Activate.exe (sometimes this is in a wrapper and is part of setup), readme.txt, and setup.exe. If there is an activate.exe and you fail to run it. The program will not be registrated.

The past few days, some people may have seen topics posted by me asking for help with activating free software. Although I have used give away for years and never had any probs, I do now. Several people have tried to help me by giving me various help info. One of those help information is about selecting the program by right clicking and selecting run as administrator.

OK, I have full administrator access on my computer as I am the only person who uses it. But if it is going to help make it work, I need to know that full proceedure in selecting this process.

I know how to right click and select run, but when it comes up with screen where you need to type the pasword etc into, what do I enter there. If I am the administartor, then why would I need to run it as admin.

Anyway some poeple asked my specs. I run Windows XP SP2 Home Edition. Please help with the info I have asked. Thank you.
