If for some reason your Patin-Couffin driver (Developed by VSO Software) was damaged you can reinstall from Here.

VSO also have a program that will identify the CD/DVD devices (and their capabilities) that are installed in your PC. VSO Inspector (freeware)

I downloaded Plato DVD Copy, installed it and registered it without any problem.

When I first tried to use Plato DVD Copy it recognized the DVD that I put in the source DVD-ROM drive. It would not recognize my DVD Burning Drive. I re-booted my computer and during the boot stage I got a "Found New Hardware" message. The new hardware was identified as PTCouffin Device. Apparently for Plato DVD Copy to be installed the driver Patin-Couffin must be present. I tried to find a driver on the Internet. Nothing That I found worked.

Patin-Couffin is identified as a VSO driver. I have tried three different generations of what I though might help and I have gotten no where. Please help. I would like to try the Plato DVD Copy program. I have two CD that were dropped on a rough cement floor and both have been scratched. It seams that they are getting to be in a little worse condition as I continue to play them.
