I,ve tried almost everything I can lay my hands on over the months that the disc has been disconnected. I have two other large discs on that particular computer and in no way am needing the space yet, or for a long time. I was thinking of taking it out and putting it into one of my older computers and filling it with games, but as I've not been able to find a sizeable number of the programs on the disc, including a lot of registry files for lots of games and applications I'm loath to lose them all.
I realise they are for DVD/CD, but as you say, it may be worth a try. I do have quite a few DVD's full of stuff that were burnt on a faulty drive, and now anything that has jpg images within the folders comes uo as a cyclic redundancy. So I'll see if I can recover some of that stuff as well.

Hello, Wr!

I do believe most of the above programs are more geared towards CD and DVD type data, but you never know, you might get one to work on a HDD. Won't hurt to try, certainly!

Hope you find one that does the job for you! Later.

Thanks. I've needed stuff like this on several occasions, lol. Not that it's a funny situation when you do find yourself having to recover such files. The first time it happened to me i ended up spending over $100 on two programs. Neither actually worked for me. I have a largish disk (20G) still waoting to be recovered (since around March 07). It's been disconnected so as not to accidentaly use it. so I'll give some of these programs a check out over the next week.

The programs below probably don't rank high on anyone's list of programs-to-get, however, when you need a program like this, you'll need it now and wish you had it on hand, believe me. That being said, the list below should provide you with a good choice, according to each persons' preferences. As usual, all programs free of charge, for now anyways.

Enjoy the journey, friends.... :-)
