Before you were here, we all (main starters) spoke about rules and regulations.

It was kind of decided to keep them to humanity.

They went along the lines, of no racism, no disrespecting, no posting serials, appz or warez.

I have already this week removed email addies posted and edited requests for warez.

If you search you might find it was spoken about a very longtime ago.

What is now a general set of rules is I guess a beta.

They really need to be integrated into the Terms & Conditions one needs to adhere to when signing up a username.

If you have finished with your request I will close this thread.

Well, even though you don't see why you should have to explain your actions, I appreciate you taking the time to do so. And as I said previous, I will do my utmost to adhere to the rules of this forum, now that I know what they are.

You can't just expect people to know the rules, without them being available, can you? I understand that it might be obvious to you, a moderator, because I would imagine that you are in large part responsible for making the rules, but to expect us, the normal users of this forum to know those rules without being able to have a reference to them, is somewhat obtuse.

In any event, issue closed, as far as I'm concerned. Thanks again!

The reason, seems very obvious to most of us that I removed a direct link to an executable file is a security danger as those less savvy might not know what they have downloaded.

I once many years ago downloaded a file via a direct link which stated it was a freeware codec pack, turned out to be a renamed file that was for some folding program that took me a long time to remove.

I don't see why I should have to explain why, it seems obvious.

Hey, many thanks, DaletonaDave!

I knew I had looked up there earlier this morning, and there was nothing like that, so I did not think to look up there before I started this thread.

OK, thank you BuBBy for taking the time and effort to make that sticky! I have some general idea now as to what is and what is not acceptable. I'll do my very best to stay within those guidelines in the future.

Well, it would seem that either Lee or BuBBy closed my other thread, where I politely asked for a link to the rules of posting on this forum. Now, why would that happen? I was not rude, I did not ask anything inappropriate, and I was very much in earnest for wanting to know what the rules are for this forum, so that I do not break them in the future. I therefore politely suggest that someone answer my honest question with likewise respect and honesty.

So, I address either of you moderators, and ask that you please answer my question, and not to just ignore me and close the thread. I don't believe that was a very appropriate behavior for a moderator. I have been on this forum for some time now, and I believe that I have, in the past, done my share to be helpful and to contribute in a constructive way to this forum. I deserve better that to have my thread just closed and ignored.

I ask again to be provided with a link so that I may study and learn the posting rules for this forum. Thank you.
