The expiry date you can see on the WikiFortio download page has nothing to do with program expiry when installed on your PC.

WikiFortio provides a service where they agree to "host" or "store" download programs for a period of time. The Expiry date shown on the download page is essentially when WikiFortio will automatically remove the program for download from their servers (if it hasn't already been done earlier).

So the message that "Expiry" is "Feb 08" means that if GOTD doesn't delete the download file from WikiFortio by that date, WikiFortio will delete it themselves.

Simple. :)

Ok,Thanks for that.
I have been activating them, then running the program,as per the read me file.
I will look at the read me file closer in the future, just incase a program requires a different installation.Best regards.

Make sure you run the activate.exe file included in the zip pkg. The "trial version" will go away after you activate it. It's a two stage process... sometimes more or less depending on the giveaway. Read the readme.txt file for the activation process. It's not always running the activate.exe file. Sometimes it's just running the setup.exe file... sometimes entering a software key manually. If you're running Winzip... make sure you have it configured for "classic mode". If you run winzip with the wizard, it will look for the setup.exe file and run that.. and you won't even see the other files.

Good luck!

Hello Everyone,
I have only recently found out about GAOTD,and after looking through the forums, the question I have is mentioned, but I was a bit confused to the answer.

I understand that the free software given is a full version, and it must be registered on the same day.but when you download the software,it states that it will expire in feb 08.(around 3 months from the downloading of a software).
What happen's after this expiry date?.
Do you then have to purchase it,in order to carry on using it?.
That's what I didn't understand.
Im new to this,so Im sorry if this is an old topic.
Many Thanks for your help....(I love the software you offer)
