I've been reading a bit about problems with This DLL which supports something called "Retained Mode" and the fact that Microsoft didn't retain support for it in Vista.

For now I'd say support for this game under Vista is unlikely. (Not impossible). As I don't use Vista, I can't test it for you.

Google "D3DRM.DLL" + Vista. You will find heaps of discussion of this files and Vista.

I am running Vista and i tried placing the .dll in the game folder but it doesn't work

Hi Niloy,
I'll presume you have Windows XP, simply place the .dll in C:\Windows\System32. If that dose not work place the .dll directly into the game's Directory, it will be found, probably in the C:\Program Files inside the Alawar Folder. That should do it, but sometimes you have to register the .dll with Windows and I can not remember exactly how to do it off the top of my head.

I downloaded Crusaders of Space2 from here and when I run it it tells me that it needs the D3DRM.dll and i downladed it from DLLDUMP and how do i install it
