While you are playing in the options - I noticed it is conecting back to the EverNote servers. Turning off the option "Check for updated version of the program upon start" should fix it.

For people who are new to this site (Hi There, you know who you are) - some giveaways in the past revert to trial mode status - when the well intentioned user agrees to install an update after being prompted by the program.

Moral - Turn off the "updated version" check if you think you might be tempted to click "OK" on dialogs without reading properly. You've been warned. ;)

I'm running iMac OSX with Parallels Desktop, which allows me to simultaneously run Windows in a virtual environment. I've become accustomed to opening Parallels in order to test drive any of the giveaways, and then minimizing the Windows environment to continue working in Mac. I have never had a program from the virtual environment cross over to the Mac environment, until Ever Note.

A word of caution to other Mac users: Ensure that you UNCHECK the preferences box allowing Ever Note to start up with Windows. Trust me on this one. While sampling fonts in a text file on Mac, EverNote (running in the minimized Parallels) grabbed every instance of the sampled text (and I have a LOT of fonts). I happened to notice the dock filling up with dozens...and dozens of EverNote icons.

Sure, I can laugh now (ha.ha.) but for a moment, the EverNote icons were flashing faster than popups on an x-rated site (ahh...or so I'm told).

GREAT program, though. Just make sure you retain the option to start manually.

Sigh.
