i will stay with Zonealarm free then, it did serve me welll so far in the past.

and regarding Webroot firewall, maybe they are good, but they are too new to be well known. after all, i am sure, both comodo and zonealarm had to work for years as well, to get mentioned in every test.
alas, i am also not willing to play tester for them ;)

Yes, Comodo (Free) and ZoneAlarm Pro (Not Free) consistently came up in the top "bunch" for the 6 - 10 Firewall review/comparisons that I have read over the past month.

I can't recall Webroot Desktop Firewall even rating a mention. Perhaps this is why they are giving it away for free - to raise its profile a little more. Maybe there is a reason it's not as widely used/regarded as a good firewall.

does anyone know how this firewall is doing comparing to the usual freeware firewalls like the one from comodo, or zonealarm?
