reebs, Do you have any filter, firewall, proxy or "Internet Security" type products that might be blocking the network traffic or activation process from running?

Weird, I don't download much from this site because a lot of the programs I really don't have a need for. I would contact the company that is offering this giveaway and complain that the activation on your computer isn't working and ask nicely if they can do anything to help. Hopefully this computer you are talking about has an internet connection and that you are connected to the internet when you try to activate it.

Well, it's still the day of the giveaway. ;-P I just can't get the activation to finish on my laptop...it just freezes. :-( I was hoping to get the code from my brother's computer (that works with some of the free software), but alas, no luck.

Thanks, though. Today's software, when I tried to put it on my bro's computer, told me it was already expired. I'm kinda 0 for 3 with this site so far. *LOL*

Michelle is right Robin. You can install it on as many PC's as you'd like but only on the day of the giveaway.

I'm pretty sure that most of the programs if not all of the programs can only be activated on the day of the giveaway and you have to have an internet connection for it to be activated. I don't know of any other way, sorry.

Is this possible at all? It wouldn't seem so, since the activation key is bundled up with the installation, so if it freezes, the whole thing does. I successfully installed it on one computer (and even looked around for the key to be displayed somewhere), but my laptop doesn't like these keys for some reason, and this is really the machine I use most. And what if I wanted to put the game on a computer that doesn't connect to the internet?

I suppose I shouldn't complain, since it's free. At least my bro will get some use out of it...and maybe he'll let me play on his computer, since I gave it to him. :-P
