Main executable is basically the name of the main program, exe, like when you get "Microsoft Word has encountered a problem..."

Correct. That's the obvious bit.

I believe there are 3 "levels" of error messages programmers can aim at when a program crashes. (Going from least to most helpful)

1. Tell the user (or explain) what went wrong.
2. Tell the user (or suggest) how to fix it.
3. Offer to fix (or resolve) the problem for the user.

An error message that just says "It's broke" is just proof of a lazy or inexperienced programmer (and stating the bleeding obvious).

Main executable is basically the name of the main program, exe, like when you get "Microsoft Word has encountered a problem..." .
It also crashes for me on shoutcast streams just like BladedThoth described it in his post: http://www.bladedthoth.com/reviews/15mrs/web-stream-recorder-pro-v2-0-0-539/
Too bad, it's the only use I had for it, I had flash, quictime and divx videos pretty much covered with a Firefox extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/3006

On the bright side I still have the older version(1.6) and it works, but it's not automated like this one.

If anyone wants something similar you can try Url Snooper, freeware. http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Mouser/urlsnooper/

Unfortunately, while the "Web Stream Recorder" programmers insist on providing such descriptive error messages - a "MAIN EXECUTABLE" error sounds like something only their programmers will be able to decipher. (ie. That error message could mean absolutely anything).
