Works fine from Windows 2000 and Windows XP machines. Toasted my Windows 98SE Starup. But thanks to TK (73), SCANREG /RESTORE restored everything. - BillW50

I hope you can't install it. Here's why:

This is a copy of what I sent to Absolute Startup:

I downloaded your software from the giveaway of the day site, and installed it. I am running Windows 98SE. I created a system restore point first. Upon instalation, before it was even finished installing, it erased my startup group, deleted registry entries, disabled my virus protection, disabled my firewall, erased everything in my msconfig list, took entries out of my autoexec file, changed system.ini, disabled Norton Systemworks and spybot, and erased my system restore point. Then, as soon as the installation was finished, it “performed an illegal action” and shut down my computer. When I brought it back up, I got several errors about missing dlls and missing exports. It took me over an hour to get my computer up again. I will NOT recommend this software to anyone, and will make giveaway of the day aware of this extremely destructive program. It is a piece of crap.

My Absolute StartUp doesn't say trial. It says Licensed to Giveawayoftheday. Did you close it before you activated it?

This is one program I haven't downloaded because it seems controversial, but in the ones I did download, as long as it said that it was a personal license you were ok. Maybe somebody who has downloaded and intalled this one can help.

Even after running the Activate.exe the program is still a 21 day trial.
How do we get the program license?

As far as I know there is no 21-day trial in any Giveaway of the day. If you activate it on time, the program has no time limit on it
