I did it, it lasted 9 hours before the end of this offer. Anyway, having the message "successfully activated" means that I was in the "window" of installation.

The setup.exe has to be run while the giveaway is still running. (As explained in the readme file and the download page).

If the giveaway has expired (I'm not sure because I install before they expire) I believe you might be directed to the GOTD website with information that the giveaway has finished.

I download the file "Ball7.zip" on my office (on the screen). I unzip it with ALZip v6.7, on the current directory. All is ok (I unzipped with 7zip also), I have 2 files : setup.exe and readme.txt.

Clicking on "setup.exe" just launchs the Web page of giveaway, but does nothing else (creating a directory for instance).

This is not the first time I find this problem. Maybe it is a question with my configuration (XP SP2). Just to know, what does "setup.exe" exactly?

Thank you for your patience.

What kind of zip/rar program do you use Hanter-noz? If you are using winrar, before you unzip/extract the files you can select where they go. Jucati has explained where they go. Winzip by default places an unzipped folder under c:/unzipped that contains everything that you have ever unzipped.

Hope this helps and thanks Jucati.

The software by Merscom does not come with an installer, only an unpacker.
If you try installing software by a different company and there's no installer, you might have a problem - otherwise it's just these particular games.

Merscom's default place to unzip is C:/Games/NameofGame

otherwise you should know where the files are because you should have selected the directory.

Thank you for your advise. Unfortunately, there is no directory on my computer starting with "ball" (ball7 or something else) and no new directory created since I clicked on "setup.exe".

What is the normal process to install the game? Maybe the file must be corrupted?

When I unzipped "Ball7.zip" (32,4 Mb), it creates 2 files : readme.txt and setup.exe (32,6 Mb). Doing this, there is no warning of any error.

Please help!

Do a search on your PC and see if it was unpacked anywhere. If it was try running (the game?) from that location. If successful create a new icon on your desktop to the folder then to the .exe program.

Hope this helps.

I have, previously, downloaded and installed programs, with no problem. After I would get the window that I had successfully activated the program, it would lead me to the installation wizard and everything was okay. Four days ago, I changed my internet service to MSN and since then I have not been able to figure out how to install any program. I can download it and sucessfully activate it but then stops, there, and I have no idea how to install it.
Can anyone help me? What did MSN do to screw everything up? It just took me 2 hours to download Ball 7 and I would like tp install it. I am using Windows XP.
Thank you, JB
