I am using windows XP and had no trouble downloading the program. The program works okay however when I went to view it there appeared lettering across my picture saying "this is an evaluation copy since I was not registered" In order to register it is asking for a "code key" which I do not have. Can someone address this problem?

The log in I use is the admin account. I don't use Vista except as Admin. I am *always* logged in as Admin on my system. So, the prog should work. It doesn't. It requests a code-key.

To clarify: I'm not logging in as different users. It requests a code-key and a "registered email address". I have neither, nor do I know where to find them. And, when I click on "Register" now, instead of that same window popping up, I get a Failed Data Set error, and so can't register, even if I could find a registered email address and code-key.

When you run activate.exe - the game is activated for the current user.

If you log in as "Administrator" and run "activate.exe", and then log out and log back in as "meg" - the game will not be activated for "meg" only for "Adminstrator".

Run "activate.exe" logged in as "meg" and you should be ok.

Confused? yes. hrm.

Thanks again, Maz.

The problem isn't with the install itself, as far as I can tell. On opening, a Registration window pops up asking for information that isn't available. This doesn't seem like a Vista problem to me. The program runs fine, I toyed a bit with a couple pages, but when I preview them, there is a message across them because I haven't Registered, even though I activated and got a Successful Activation message.

It might be related to Vista, but I've seen progs that don't install or run correctly in Vista, and dealt with them as Admin; this isn't the problem with this one, as far as I can tell. I need a Code-key and a registered email address for it to work as intended.

I searched the site, and found a link to an article that someone thought might be useful re Vista. Probably it won't be, but I' post the link in case.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but I don't use Vista.

Thanks Maz for the suggestion.
I am logged in as Admin. Always.
I still wish someone from GOTD (or from Wondershare) would comment on this, preferably before the end of the time limit. But I'm pretty doubtful.

I've seen posts from people in the past having probems when they're using Vista, and the soution usually given is that you have to be logged in as Administrator for the activation to be successful.

I'm on Vista too.

This is mt first attempt to use a program from this site. I've been checking daily for a few weeks, but this was the first that seemed interesting. So far I'm not impressed. Lack of response from anyone who can help despite multiple people having the same issue and posting both here and in the Comment section for the daily download is not very encouraging.

Not to derail, but I have a problem with the same program.

I was able to download, activate and install the Scrapbook Studio, in that order. The first time the program ran, a Registration window opened, and asked for a registered email address and Code-key, neither of which I can find. Now the pages I make have a notice across them that it's an Evaluation Copy (or something to that effect). Any advice?
