I would also suggest getting Daz 3d Studio as well. It's a Poser-type program, but it's free. http://www.daz3d.com/i.x/software/studio/-/?

Beware, though. Getting into 3d graphics can be like getting into high-tech Barbie dolls. Once you get the basics, then you'll need to get all the accessories. LOL! That being said -- after you get the basic figures, then you can also find plenty of free stuff out there for them.

Look on Download.com & you'll be able to find some of the figures for free.

Michelle and BuBBy, thank you for the link and for the insight on the program. I am looking forward to this one, especially since I want to get a couple of the grandkidlets involved in graphics. Thanks!

Going from a 2D image to a 3D model is possible - but it's not an "automatic" process.

There are people who will convert a diagram for you - for a fee...
http://www.formatconversion.biz/2d-to-3d-conversion.html

But I'm sure half the joy is doing it yourself ;)

Is there any way you can take an image or file you already have in jpeg format or another image file and transform it? I think that is what he was trying to do yesterday, but unfortunately I don't think he ever succeeded in doing that.

Thank you for the pages Bubby explaining what to do.

Lol what a choice. I choose to buy the program for a $100 dollars, lol.

I saw about that upgrade. I am unsure how the program works like to make graphics and stuff though I did install it on my dad's computer. Though he is having a time making anything.

I told him to read the help files he probably still hasn't. If anyone can explain what you can do and how to do it with this program that would be great. Thank you very much.

Michelle

The official site http://www.daz3d.com/ has a special offer until June 30.

Download Bryce 5.5 for free and upgrade to 6.1 for $19.98
After June 30 - it is $39.95

The bit I find puzzling... you can also purchase Bryce 6.1 from their site for $99.95

So download and upgrade $20, or just download for $100 - your choice....

Download Bryce for free. I am unsure how long this promotion will last so I guess the quicker you download and register it the better.
