Was going to suggest http://www.starportgame.com/ as a space type game, except

Oh....it has to be compatable with windows vista.

Really puts a big question mark over getting most software to work properly. It might work... that's just a chance you take running Vista. (BTW. Just noticed you wanted a single player - this one is a MMO - it's not single player)

Is there any single player games where you just explore the universe? Maybe a space battle or 2 would be nice. I would really be interested in something like this. If anyone knows of one, please let me know. Oh....it has to be compatable with windows vista. Thanks for any help you can offer.
