Archangel, you misunderstand. Comments on the software must be APPROVED before being posted on the site - meaning someone should have read these comments before they went up.

Linking to the impropriety simply makes me a vehicle for access to it, which is exactly the opposite of what I want to do.

I've already brought it to their attention. I am sure it will be dealt with asap. This will always be a risk while users can post comments anonymously.

So you spotted it right off? LOL

There are only a couple of moderators on the site. Since the also have jobs and other activities, they can't be everywhere all the time. Cut them some slack and create a thread like this with the path to the inpropriety and I'm sure they'll take corrective action. Better yet, I see you didn't state the thread so maybe a pm to one of the mods with the link.

You mentioned Ban. What about a warn because maybe he didn't realize what it actually is. There are alot of nOOb's here. I'm glad there alittle not so quick on the or I'd got popped yesterday. Do it once, warned. Twice, maybe banned.

I'm not going to point to it directly (but it's easy enough to find just glancing through), there's a comment on one of today's giveaways to a BitTorrent hosting site - ie, to an illegal copy of some software. I recognized the link as a torrent site without even clicking on it - do the admins need a huge list of Torrent sites or something, to prevent these kinds of comments again? (ed: I meant to say I'd help compile a list if they do in fact wish to have one)

Someone later down the page even points out that the poster of the torrent link should be banned... and yet another person comments with a "thank you" for the torrent link, and asks for an invite to a different torrent site. :rolls eyes:

Seriously, comment moderators... did you have your coffee today? :P
