&#60;p&#62;hit 'start' then 'programs' then 'AVS4YOU' then 'Activation' paste in serial and allow communications with server etc and voila it's activated.

<description>&#60;p&#62;I'd check for you - but apparently my &#34;monitor software&#34; won't let me run any AVS products. Not too sure what my &#34;monitor software&#34; is exactly - but no doubt it runs more reliably and is a lot more useful than anything I have seen from AVS thus far.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I don't need to think too hard, which piece of software is headed for the recycle bin.

What you need to do is click Activate from within DVD Copy itself, then a dialog will appear asking you to enter the registration code. However, I don't know if this is possible outside the 24-hour period. It may be if you still have your registration code.
