Advanced SystemCare is it's new name.

You can download the new version from http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=5927

Its currently Advanced SystemCare 3.1.0 β

I have tried it, seems ok not dug too deep and seems stable enough.

Remember as always back-up system for restore prior to install of new softwares.

Well Face, you probably don't have any firewall, anti-virus, or anti-adware protection programs running under safe mode. And especially without a firewall (either a hardware one or a software one), a hacker could gain access to your computer while you are online. And they could possibly install very nasty programs that you won't even know is running in the background.

have a AWC rerun, perhaps??

or maybe for those who havn't done the update, backup your registry into a file first before installing the updated AWC as when anything goes wrong, e.g. AWC went into trial mode, you can jus install the already backup registry file on your system. that way, the updated AWC shd register itself again.

@ AlexSJ - I jus registered another AWC on my notebook. first I install the reg file containing the user and password den install the AWC(the older version). den i did the upgrade. works perfectly- NEVER enter the code found on the "About" page on a NEW AWC program. I learnt that from the prev AWC giveaway. IT doesn't REGISTER! I've tried it but failed... i suppose bcos it checks back to its server to see if its valid or not

I saw the other thread and was a bit hesistant to download at first. Followed Alexiussg loose instructions "but after AWC autodownload the v2.5, I went into the folder its folder, usually it will be C:\Program Files\IObit\Advanced WindowsCare V2 Pro\ and copy out the setup.exe and manually install it. I cancel the auto install. " (see thread June 16th) and copy is still registered correctly.
Version now is 2.5.0.913
I guess in essence, don't run the auto update, but rather the setup. Sorry, know that doesn't help now, but perhaps some others
Pura Vida

Sorry Lee --- Wrong ! --- I (stupidly ?) followed directions yesterday (Sun. June 17 ) . It removed the "old" version, all files & set a system restore point. Followed directions again to install "new" version. ~~~ Remembering we were promised free updates for 3 months. ~~~~ Installed w/o any problems. Scaned system as normal. Clicked "Repair". --- Guess what happened ... Yep ! "This feature unavailable with trial version" ...You must supply registration info or PAY for full version !!!
My foot, three joints up !!!!
Personal version updated & works fine. "AdAware SE" works "better" for free. They both identify "problems" the other missed. BTW - AWC Personal and/or Pro will each find items the other didnot report. - That is until I TRUSTED and updated ! 8-(
I am now going to be an unreasonable a-hole and demand a free lifetime version for my trouble. ( That'll teach 'em. )
