I bet you are on Vista.

Run History Explorer.exe as Administrator. You will have to do this everytime.

I installed today's (1/15/09) giveaway History Explorer and used the Activate.exe to try to activate the product. It seemed to activate it just fine but when I went to use History Explore it comes up with a message that says: "Your License is not valid. Please visit http://www.exendo.org to purchase a valid license."

Is anyone else having this problem?

I use ConvertXtoDVD to put avi's on dvd's and in my opinion its the best going out there. It even has a menu program that allows you to select which movie you wish to watch (if you have more than one on a dvd you've written with it). I don't think it will be offered but its well worth the money!

Sounds like the file potentially got corrupted during the download. I'd say redownload, but the offer has already expired. :(

ConvertXtoDVD - now that program I'd like to see on GAoTD.

I got this converter running just fine - WinXP Home SP2.

Open downloaded file and click on activate after installing the setup file. That's it. Software seems o.k. You have about 9 hours to go

90 minutes is good, convertXtodvd takes about the same time.

Program works fine for me. Running Vista Home Premium. Works faster and with more features than Showbiz program I paid for. Burned a 1 1/2 hour movie in 30 minutes, encoding & all.
