Aparently there is a Krull film remake in the works so there's a good chance that a game will come out of it, but as of yet I've not found any evidence of a remake of the game.

I received this message and though I'd better post it here in the forums. I'm sure most of you don't accept unsolicited friends requests via Steam but just in case here is the message:

WARNING! .... Listen here. If two people by name (NisseFar and Nivek) wants to add you to their list, not accept. It is a virus.

Tell everyone on your list because if someone on your list adds him or her, you get it too. It is a hard drive killer and a very horrible virus. Please pass it on to everyone on your list. We need to find out who is using this account. i was told to tell u this, plz copy and paste to other ppl on ur friend list

I'm not sure about the bit about it being able to infect your drive via another users account especially as their drive according to the warning would be destroyed, so they wouldn't be able to access any of their friends, but, better safe than sorry. Please pass this message on to all of your Steam friends. Thank you.

There has been several threads talking about this news on the Steam forums. I'm not sure whether it's a joke or serious, some say it is some say its not. Maybe someone started the news becasue the two named characters upset them, who knows?

I agree. When I first played the new game last Novemebr I really did miss the old charaters, but you soon get used to the new ones. Valve did add a new level several weeks ago called The Passing, where the original characters appear. They help you by shooting zombies (from the roofs of the houses around you, and if you need health packs they even send those down. Plus, you can also find health packs by the side of special infected, but only in the new level. I've still not completed that particular level, so we will have to go for it next tim we play. :)

I loved the first game and still do, but I do think the second one is slightly better. Though I wasn't sure at first. Once I became familiar with the game I was sold on the second one. so much so i didn't play the first one for around 3 months, but now play them both.

lol, enjoy. You'll get used to the new special infected, and the weapon choices are much better. I started downloading more of the games I bought when i got up this morning at 8am. initially the download speeds were okay, but already at 11.20, the download speeds are down significantly. In fact I'm only getting 24Kb per second at the moment, which is ridiculous from a 10Mb broadband connection (though quoted broadband connections in the UK are far from the actual download speeds we actually get.

Valve must be approaching grid lock. Yesterday I had to keep trying to download as I kept getting the message that the Valve servers were too busy. :) That's the main problem with these deals, especially the first few days; (plus I tend to buy games that I wouldn't normally have bothered with, but when you see a game that usually retails at say 12 pounds reduced to a pound' if theres any spark og interest it's probably worth buying just for the possibility that it may be a great find. :)

It took over 12 hours to download Alpha Protocol last night, a game thats less than 5Gb in size. I started downloading it early afternoon yesterday and it was still downloading when I went to bed this morning.

Thanks again for a brilliant Left 4 Dead Zombie fest last night. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. :)

I managed to get L4D2 finally.. took all night to download. It's different than the first and slightly more confusing. Makes me wish they still did the old game manuals!

Anyway, still 7 hours left on the Left 4 Dead 2 deals!

Gonna get back to Coach and the gang - they'll never make it on their own! :)

Yeah, it's been slow all day since i got up yesterday morning at around 10am. I've been downloading Alpha Protocol sinc early afternoon, that was over 12 hours ago and it's still not downloaded. howwever I have downloaded another game at the same time called Dark Void.

Valve must be making a lot of money out of this sale. :)

I made a mistake in my list for Saturday. I said that Star Wars was 13 games. That is of course incorrect. For $7.49 you only get The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition. The full set of 13 is on discount, but it costs $74.99 (55% off).

There must be lots of people buying and downloading. I bought a few and download speed is pretty slow.

Well now they have a new list up. Wish I had seen this WR's list earlier so I could have mentioned that you didn't need GTA IV to get Liberty City as these are stand alone expansions. It can be make them a little more interesting if you have already played the original GTA IV as there are references to it's events and characters in Liberty City, but that isn't really needed.

The new daily list is:
Audiosurf for $2.50 (75% off) - music puzzle racer using your music
City of Heroes Architect Edition for $9.99 (50% off) - Superhero MMO
Zeno Clash for $3.75 (75%) - unique, quirky, acclaimed indie fighting game
Left 4 Dead 2 for $10.20 (66% off) - Highly acclaimed zombie shooter
Any Hearts of Iron games for 66% off - detailed WWII strategy game
Company of Heroes Complete Pack for $24.99 (50%) - great WWII RPG
Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition for $7.49 (75% off) - 13 Star Wars Games
Supreme Commander 2 for $7.47 (66% off)

There's even more on sale beccause there are slao games that haven't been listed in the sale that are on sale, lol.

Anyway, I just thought I'd mention that on top of the normal sale that ends on the 4th July theres a daily sale where you can get even more discount off the games, for example today you can get the following deals:

Aliens v Predator 2000 (This is stilla great game dispite being 10 years old. If you like your shooters to scare you, this will do it. 75% off Cost £0.75 or about $1

------------------------------------------------------------------

Land of Gold: Gangs of the Wild West. Not the best graphics for a game only released several weeks ago, but it was desined in the veign of Team Fortress (IMO). Great fun if you have some friends to play as the main game is Multiplayer, though there is a singleplayer campaign. 66% off. Cost £3.40 or approx $5

------------------------------------------------------------------

Ghostbusters: The Video Game. This is a great game especially if you like the original films. Theres loads to do and you get to use all the ghostbusters equipment, lol. 80% off. Cost £3.00 or approx $4.40

------------------------------------------------------------------

Galcon Fusion. This is an excellent indie game where you have to dominate the galaxy. I loved this the first time I played it. Singleplayer and Multiplayer campaigns. 75% off. Cost £1.75 or approx $$2.25

------------------------------------------------------------------

Alpha Protocol. I've only just bought this so can't give my opinion on it yet. It looks like an excellent stealth/Spy style game on the lines of Tom Clancy's Conviction. Both of which are recent releases. Alpha Protocol has only been released for a week. 33% off. Cost £16.74 or approx $25

------------------------------------------------------------------

Serious Sam HD double pack. This is a brilliant tongue in cheek shooter. Re-released with all new renders from the original that was released over 10 years ago and still has a great online community.

Like I said, massive! They say they have 180 action, 66 adventure, 130 strategy, 53 RPG, 59 indie, 12 massively multiplayer, 70 casual, 58 family, 43 sim, 24 racing and 15 sports games on sale. That would add to 710. I know that isn't quite right as there are some duplications and when you look at the individual lists there are usually more. For example, when you look at the adventure games list it has 78 rather than 66. Still, the total is something on that order. Again, wow. Thanks for your partial list WR. I will probably check out some of the ones you mentioned as I am working on my list. I already have an enormous backlog. This is getting crazy.

Oh my Oh my, I've just gone through the Steam games and there are just too many to list here. I lsted nearly 70 games that I would love to buy rancing fromPro Cyvcling Manager 2009, Shaun Whites Snowboarding, Ashs Cricket 2009, The complete Crazy Machines pack, to more violent games like Death to Spies, Indigo Prophesy, Silent Hill: Homecoming, Dark void, Darkfall: Lost souls and the original Assassins Creed. Simulations like Tom Clancy's Hawx and the previous Silent Hunter games (Silent Hunter IV: Wolves of the Pacific plus addon, , Indie games like Samorost 2, the Mawsome pack, Ziro and Crid runner revolution and RTS games like IIIX Century Gold edition, the East India company Collection , Majesty: Kingmaker and TRopico 3: Absolute Power, oh yeah and that one based on the russian film 9th Company called 9th Company Roots of Terror and the Massive Assault collection. and more adventure and family orientated games like the Sherlock holmes collection, The Peggle pack and Dracula Origins.

I need a windfall to purchase all the games I want, lol.

There are games for everyone here. Steam have added many arcade games of all genres. It's well worth checking out the large collection before you go to the usual Big Fish, Alawar, Realore and Gamehouse sites.

Unbelievable bargains. It's times like this that I wish I could resist buying games on pre-orde. Unfoortunately I need my almost daily fix of new games just to keep the pain at bay. (really) New games seem to help my pain management more than ones I've already played for several hours.

Thanks for the heads up Campy. I'll have to mop up the final games I want from Steam over the next couple of weeks; having bought most of what I consider worth buying over the last year. I'm definitely looking forwards to it. :)

This title is well worth getting if you are into anything RPG like. Gorgeous graphics and excellent story led campaign. When I first played Dragonage I was rather disappointed as I was hoping for something better than Oblivion. I ended up not bothering with it for several weeks after the first try; but soon returned to playing it as I hadn't seen a bed review written about it and was curious. I'm glad I did return. No it's not Oblivion, but it's just as good IMO. Plus there are a growing number og mods available to further expand the game. You can get up to 40% off depending on whether you buy the whole package or seperate titles.

Well Sunday (until 10am Pacific on Monday) actually did turn out to be Dragon Age Day. The following variations of Dragon Age are available: Dragon Age Origins for $26.79 (33% off), Dragon Age Origins Digital Deluxe Edition for $33.49 (33% off - this adds more than the usual Deluxe stuff in that it adds a mission that gives you a base of operations that can be used for storage, in my opinion this should have been in the base package), Dragon Age Origins Awakening for $29.99 (25% off), Origins & Awakening for $47.99 (40% off) and Origins Deluxe & Awakening for $53.99 (40% off).

WoO, now I understand. Those other EA games I listed aren't available on Steam. Your guess makes sense, particularly with the World Cup going on now. Since I recently bought the superior Football Manager 2010 when Steam had that on sale, I wouldn't be very interested in FIFA manager. I suppose they could do Dragon Age, but I already have that and the others wouldn't make much sense. We'll see in a few hours.

The only EA games left on Steam that they haven't offered yet are Dragon Age, Warhammer Online, Battleforge, and Fifa Manager 10 and 09. I just figure with the World Cup going on right now, Fifa would be their choice for Sunday. Of course Dragon Age is another good guess.

Friday's offering (until 10am Pacific on Saturday) is Mirror's Edge for $4.99 (75% off), Dead Space for $9.99 (50%), and a variety of SPORE choices all for 33% off. SPORE by itself goes for $26.79, the Creepy & Cute Parts pack is available for $13.39, Galactic Adventures is $20.09 and a Complete pack with all three is $60.27.

The reviews on NFS Undercover weren't too good so I decided to pass on it. Might try Shift when the price comes down some more on it, but for now I decided I had more than enough other games and if I wanted some more car action I would rather try some more of Burnout Paradise.
